Cork County finished second in Munster Division 1 despite losing just 1 match all season and finishing with a fantastic points return of 91.23% having played 3 matches less than the eventual league winners. Following the weather experienced this summer it is hard to believe that the title was decided on points total alone seeing as teams have not completed the same amount of matches. It is certainly an issue the Munster Cricket Union needs to address going forward as Cork County are the only senior Club who play their cricket on grass wickets.
