Cork County clinched their fourth Munster Division 1 title in five years after a 4 wicket victory over local rivals Cork Harlequins at Farmers Cross on Saturday, 23rd August. The match was scheduled to take place not long after the high profile friendly fixture in which a Cork County XI take on an Irish President’s XI to celebrate the Club’s 140th anniversary. The squad were also coming off the back of clinching promotion to Leinster Division 1 with a 6 run victory over Malahide at the Mardyke the previous Sunday.

Cork County 1 184-6 (Grobler 88, Duggan 31) beat Cork Harlequins 1 181 all out (Junaid 36, Deane 31, Van Heerden 3-18) by 4 wickets at Farmers Cross.
