Following no agreement between both clubs, Cricket Leinster have decided that the rain affected Division 2 fixture between Cork County and Leinster Cricket Club will now be played as a T20 in Laois on Monday, 29th August, starting at 4.30pm.
The original fixture was due to be played on Monday, 1st August, at the Mardyke but there was no play due to persistent rain on the day. In accordance with the new Cricket Leintser regulations, since the clubs failed to agree a date for a refix within the permitted 28 day timescale the the Union’s Open Competitions Committee took the decision to play the match on the final day of this 28 day period.
Please note that this will be on an artificial wicket on which studded footwear is not permitted.
