Cork County and Malahide battled it out at sun-soaked Stormont in Belfast in the first Semi-Final Sunday Independent All-Ireland Twenty20 Cup.

The Leinster champions eventually getting over the line chasing a target of 131 with 3.2 overs to spare despite 3-15 from Diarmuid Carey.

Cork County finished on 130-7 from their allocation with Brandon Kruger (42) top-scoring. In reply, Greg Ford (39*) and Damien Mortimer (31*) got Malahide over the line with 3.2 overs to spare.

Malahide progressed to the final where they faced NCU side CIYMS at the same venue. CIYMS put in a dominant display to lift their first ever All-Ireland title after winning by seven wickets to be crowned Sunday Independent All-Ireland Twenty20 Cup champions.
