Our first game of the season and a lot of positives to be taken from the game against Cork Harlequins U12’s at the Mardyke. Our bowling was good with very few wides and plenty of potential to develop in that area. Both young Will Coleman and Joe Bailey also showed great promise when keeping wicket and our fielding was very positive.
On batting we were a little too conservative with running between the wickets and runs were also left behind on byes but this we can develop at the Friday training sessions ahead of the next scheduled game.
Aside from that the weather was not too kind with lots of running back and forth to the pavilion on a showery Saturday morning, but hopefully all involved enjoyed their first competitive game of the season.
Cork County U12’s 56-4 off 20 lost to Cork Harlequins U12’s 57-6 by 4 wickets at the Mardyke.
